Got the call from my brother Robert, this afternoon, that our mom, Maria Scoble, had died around 4:20pm pacific time. She will be missed.
She wasn't perfect, but she had a positive effect on so many lives. Her smile was as wide the Montana skies and her heart was even bigger.
Though we had our differences, we got through them knowing that our love for one another was more important and greater than temporary issues.
I'm certain that she lived the life she wanted to live on her terms and fully understood the responsibility and effect she had on the world around her.
She will be missed. The sound of her voice. Her laugh. Her twinkling eyes. Yes, her smile. And saying "I love you" at the end of a phone conversation. She will be missed.
I love you mom, wherever you may be. In our hearts, in our skies, in our thoughts. Gone to places unknown, but not forgotten.
Your love lives on...but still I miss you, and so it shall always be.

I posted this for Robert as well. First off, I'm very sorry for your loss. Have a safe trip this weekend. Second, if you are driving, as Robert is, be aware that we have a major project on I-90 through Spokane. You will probably go a different way, but in case you decide to come up this way, you might consider going US 12 to Missoula and over instead of through Spokane. Safe travels!
